youth cultural celebration

Recently Cody and my nephew Alex had the opportunity to dance in the youth cultural celebration for the Prophet!! What an awesome experience for everyone who participated as well as all of us who got to go and watch it!! Here are some pictures from that night. In this pictue Cody is the second boy from the end. He did a great job!!




In this picture, I don't know how well you can see it but Alex is in the orange shirt in the first row on the right. You have to look for the tall blond.


They had an awesome time! and I'm proud of them for deciding to be dancers. Not many boys wanted to be but they were all glad they did.

Mailbox attack!!!

Carli has been attacked by the mailbox! I must say it won the battle.

She was hanging on the mailbox and it fell off the post last night and landed on top on her and cut inside of her mouth on her upper gum. At least that is the story I'm getting from her. THe poor thing! It looks awful! We were worried about her roots on her two front teeth but the dentist (also our bishop) says just to keep an eye on them but he didn't think it would require any work! So since she can't chew anything it all hurts, we have loaded up on gogurts, yogurt, soup and pudding for the weekend!!! So my advice watch out for attacking mailboxes!!

CHANGES

I don't necessarily like change. Sometimes I do Sometimes I definately don't. I guess it depends on what the change is. I've been released from my calling in the Relief Society Presidency. THat was a relief for me. Kind of bitter sweet. I love getting to know all of the sisters in my ward and of course I like being in the know. I truly do love all of the sisters in our ward! It is amazing how that happens. Well yesterday I was released and asked to do a different calling. I can't say that i'm happy about that new calling at all. I can't tell you what it is yet, next week, but it is definately going to require more time which I didn't think would be possible.

After my mental and emotional breakdown yesterday! (Not a pretty site at all) I think I am ready to deal with my new calling. I know that I will be guided and directed by my Heavenly Father just like I always have been in callings. I just need to rely on that knowledge and all will be fine right???!!!!!??? That is about all that is new in my life here! Just coming to grips with everything.

1. I hate baby talk!!! It just really bothers me. Don't ask me why, it always has. I guess cause babies and kids are real people so talk to them like they are!
2. I love to read the phone book and look for useless information that may be important. I guess the same goes for Owners manuals for your car! I find all sorts of stuff that I didn't know how to fix or find before
3. I remember numbers really well. If i have called you just a few times I won't have to look up your number any more!! LOL!!
4. I love heavy metal music! The Oldies are the best (if you consider the 80's the oldies, I still don't) It really comes in handy when I have to clean up the house quickly.
5. I can't seem to think of anything else! If you can think of something let me know!!

No Fun Today (or Yesterday)

The flu bug has hit our home!! YIKES!! We have been very lucky to avoid it for quite a long time but it has caught us. Kevin came home early yesterday and went right to bed with no Monday Night football so you know he didn't feel good. Well my good husband is for sharing all things and has now shared this lovel y bug with me. So I'm off to bed until the hooligans get home and then we'll see if they will wait on me!!!

HERE WE GO!!!!!

Okay so here I go into the world of blogging!! I said this is something I wanted to do so now I can check it off of my to do list!!! YEAH!!! It's going to be like a once a week update for me, i've set that as a goal. And i'm going to set many other goals so I guess this will be a checkup point for me! We have just finished birthday week at our house, Carli's was a week ago and Cody's was Sunday! YEAH!!! Party time for us! It was lots of fun I can't believe I have a teeneager! I'm not old enough to have a teenager! I just graduated .................. okay so maybe I am old enough!
