Tim McGraw!! :-)

My Husband loves me! I know he does!  I have been hinting since February that Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum were going to be in Boise this summer.  He didn't seem to be taking the hint very well, or so I thought! He came home from work one day and surprised me with tickets.  Not just tickets but floor seats!   Not only floor seats but only 7 rows from the stage!  I couldn't believe it!  He is the man!!!
We went to Boise and got a hotel and ate at a cute little deli close to the Idaho Center.  We had borscht!  It was soo yummy I've never eaten that before and was a little nervous about it, but it tasted delish!!  We went to the concert and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!  Lady Antebellum was awesome!  I love their songs, they were very entertaining.  Then of course the MAIN EVENT. The energy built with Phil Collins song, I can feel it coming in the air tonight!  It was great, it just built and built and then he appears!  WOW!!  I got some great pictures and he even came down and sang at the end of our row several times!  He is the man!  Thank you Honey for taking me and paying attention to my hints!

Summer in a nutshell!

Well here we are at the end of summer! Can you believe it!  It has flown by!  Our summer has been jam packed with events even though it feels like we haven't accomplished much or done much we really have!  We started out the summer by signing up for drivers ed for Cody! (Still can't believe that one!) Swim lessons for Caden, and swim team for Carli and Coltin.
All the kids did wonderful in their various activities.  Cody finished drivers ed (be still my heart) and is now driving for 6 months with a parent.  He is doing great! We still have a few scarry moments but the car is still in one piece and he is getting more and more confidence each time he drives.
Caden has done swim lessons, we are trying to get him to be able to swim across the pool without stopping so he can join his brother and sister on swim team next year.   Caden has had a big summer, he turned 8 on his birthday and he was baptized! He is such a great son!  He is definatley a momma's boy and that's okay with me!
Carli and Coltin have been doing swim team all summer and just finished up!  I am so proud of them, they have improved on all of their strokes and learned alot, as well as had a lot of fun.  It was hard getting to the pool by 7:30 in the morning every morning but they were there! They made some great friends and did fantastic at Championships a couple of weeks ago.  Coltin places 10th in his age group and received an award for most improved swimmer!  Carli learned alot with swim team and has a beautiful butterfly stroke!
We did get to go camping once this summer! It was great fun, we went on hikes, drives, and of course the snipe hunt!   You will have to ask the kids about that one!  We went to Grandma and Grandpa Millward's for a family reunion and had many late nights playing kick the can and other games.
Now for summer all we have left is school shopping and of course the fair and rodeo!  We can't miss that it's tradition!

February Catch Up!

I know I'm horrible at blogging, I'm really trying to get better! Sometimes I wonder if I have anything interesting happening? Oh well it's life and we will go on!
The month of February has been busy just like everyother month it seems! The one thing the kids really love in Jan. Feb. is that they get to go skiing, or snowboarding with the school. The boys got their snowboards in 08 and learned to snowboard last year. Well this year it was Carli's first year to get to go, so Dad was awesome enough to go up with her class and help her learn to ski. According to Kevin she is a natural! She only fell once cause she was waiting on dad and had to slow down. Well she now has the ski bug! She loves it, she joined ski club at school and went up twice on the bus. She was so good she was even riding the big lift with her friend Sydie on her last trip! We are very excited for her and can't wait til we can take her up again!

Cody and Coltin both got to do ski club with the Jr. High so they got to go skiing 3 times with their buddy Andy. The last time they didn't get to go because they had a temple trip which was okay with them.
They have both been taking shop this year in school. Cody has completed a big project, he made me an oak bread box! It is beautiful! He really did a good job on it and we are proud of him!

Caden didn't get to go skiing (yet) so one day when everyone was gone we had our own date night. It was his idea for the two of us to go out. He came home from school and got all showered and even used some of his dad's cologne! We got all ready and I let him pick where we were going. I was expecting McDonald's or maybe Guadalajara's. Nope he picked Morey's Steakhouse! I was shocked, I didn't expect that one!. He was a perfect gentleman! He opened my door for me and escorted me in. We were the only ones there so he got to pick out the perfect seat overlooking the river! Ordered dinner for us and was the perfect conversationalist!
He was wondering what dad and Carli were up to so we called and invited them to join us! Then at the end of dinner Caden went and paid for us all! He was so excited to do that! We then went to the store and took some icecream home for everyone to enjoy! He is going to be a great date when he gets older!

Kevin, he has been busy helping me to run things here at home! I love this guy! He is sooo awesome! We have been going to a doctor in Twin Falls once a month for about 6 months now and Kevin is awesome, he is a rock! We are both trying to lose those unwanted pounds and doing pretty well! We have both lost at least 20 lbs. and both with in 12-15 pounds of our original goal weights. He pushes me to try to eat better, which i will admit, I get the munchies alot more than he does, or he doesn't give into them as much? I don't know, but he is a great example for me!

That is a brief Jan. Feb. Catch up! Hopefully it won't be the end of March or April before I catch up again!
